Hello World Processing: Response

As far as documentaries go, I thought that the approach to this one was very creative. I also really enjoyed that putting things in the public domain was one of the focuses and that the documentary used public domain footage to complement that. Hearing the different project ideas and seeing examples of what people were doing was engaging. I particularly liked when the first computer song was handed out in bits to people to sing. The result was creepy but neat. The generative art splashed on-screen was mesmerizing to look at and almost distracted me entirely from the actual talking. I don't know if this is a bad thing, but I don't mind sometimes rewinding if the thing distracting me is beautiful. The way all of these pieces fit together and interact is fascinating. Knowing that the code that creates it isn't necessarily complicated shows how much human creativity goes into it.
